Glory Stories by Holy Heroes

Glory Stories Saint Elizabeth Ann SetonI was recently sent two audio CDs to review from the Glory Stories series by Holy Heroes. Volume XIII is Secrets from Heaven: The Story of the Children of Fatima, particularly relevant during this year commemorating 100 years since our Blessed Mother visited young Lucia dos Santos and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto. Francisco and Jacinta were recently canonized by Pope Francis.

Volume XIV focuses on the life of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton who was the first native-born American saint and who founded Catholic schools in the United States.

Each of these audio stories provided dramatizations of these saint’s lives with voice actors and actresses performing as the characters along with a narrator to describe the action.

I listened to these while driving in the car with my six-year-old daughter and they made for a pleasant, enjoyable, educational experience for both of us. I was very impressed by the quality of the production and the information contained. Perhaps more importantly, my daughter enjoyed them and has asked to listen to them several times.

There are several more CDs available. I just ordered four of them at my daughter’s request and am looking forward to hearing the stories. Glory Stories are a wonderful Catholic faith resource for both children and the adults who listen to these stories with them.
