Help Children Celebrate Their Bodies

Every Body Wonderfully Made: God’s Good Plan for Boys and Girls by Courtney Siebring helps young children appreciate and celebrate the body God gave them. It explains how, in many ways, people are all the same. Children use their bodies to learn, create, and play. They use their senses to discover and enjoy the world.

But God also made people either male or female, and children’s bodies will change as they grow older. These bodies determine our relationships in life. Boys can be fathers, brothers, and uncles. Girls can be mothers, sisters, and aunts.

Everyone is made in the image of God. We say yes to God’s plan when we love the body we have. It is fine to make believe and play dress up or wear a mask, but underneath, we are always the same person, the person God made us to be.

The illustrations by Irina Avgustinovich complement the text and show the many sizes, shapes, and colors people can come in.

Together, the words and images work together in Every Body Wonderfully Made to help children love the body they were given and use it for God’s glory. In a world that celebrates gender confusion, it is sorely needed!
