The Joy of Slime

The Joy of SlimeI found a recipe for slime in The Everything Guide to Homeschooling. This was super easy:

1) Pour an 8 ounce bottle of school glue into a mixing bowl. Fill the empty glue bottle with warm water and shake. Pour this water into the mixing bowl with the glue and mix well.

2) Measure 1/2 cup of warm water in measuring cup. Add teaspoon of Borax to the water and stir. Add the Borax mixture to the glue and mix.

This stuff is amazing – it stretches; it oozes, it sticks to everything but peels off easily, leaving no residue. It’s also an incredible sensory experience. My kids have been having so much fun with it. I put it in a plastic container to store and it was still good the next day.
